I still haven’t figured out if I should bring the breast pump home every night. I know it’s not strictly necessary--I can just bring the cooler with milk—-but I wonder if I’ll need it for an emergency. Like Aaron rejects one breast and I get engorged. So far the only time I’ve used it at home since I’ve started working is when we went out for dinner one Saturday night. I skipped a feeding and didn’t pump, which could have been okay if he had been an eager eater after I got home. He wasn’t, and I wound up pumping one side at 2 in the morning. This is why going out without Aaron isn’t nearly as interesting to me as it is to my husband and our friends. And I can’t really explain that to them without going into all the gory details, which I’m not inclined to do.
